Effective date: January 15, 2025
Service Provider: ProcessPal LLC ("ProcessPal," "we," "us," or "our")
Website: process-pal.com

Summary (the short version)

  • ProcessPal provides software development and messaging/authentication services, including SMS messaging for transactional and authentication purposes (e.g., OTP codes, passwordless login).
  • We never sell your information.
  • We collect and process information only as necessary to provide our services, either directly through ProcessPal products or as a service provider to client websites and applications.
  • When ProcessPal acts as a service provider for a client, that client may have its own privacy policy that also applies to your use of their service.
  • Minimal, necessary exceptions apply for security and legal compliance (e.g., to comply with a valid legal request).

Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to ProcessPal LLC and describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you:

  • Use ProcessPal products and services directly (e.g., process-pal.com and related ProcessPal applications),
  • Use a client website or application that integrates ProcessPal services (e.g., SMS messaging, authentication, OTP verification, passwordless login),
  • Interact with ProcessPal in connection with our services.

When ProcessPal provides services to a client (e.g., sending SMS messages on behalf of a client website), ProcessPal acts as a service provider. The client is typically the primary controller of your information for their service, and the client's privacy policy may also apply. This policy describes ProcessPal's practices as a service provider and operator of ProcessPal products.

Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to provide our services:

  1. Account Information: name, email, organization, authentication identifiers (when you use ProcessPal products directly).
  2. Service Data: information necessary to deliver our services, such as phone numbers for SMS delivery, authentication requests, OTP codes, login links, and related transactional data.
  3. Operational/Technical Data: device/browser data, IP address, and basic logs strictly for security, reliability, debugging, performance, and service delivery.

We do not collect advertising identifiers and do not use third-party ad trackers.

How We Use Information

We use information only to:

  • provide, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve our services,
  • deliver SMS messages, authentication codes, and related transactional communications as requested,
  • secure our services and prevent abuse,
  • communicate about service notices, updates, and support.

We do not use your information for unrelated purposes such as advertising, data brokerage, or profiling outside the services' functionality.

Sharing and Disclosure

  • No Sales, No Ads: We do not and will not sell user information. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or social networks.
  • Service Delivery: When ProcessPal provides services to a client (e.g., sending SMS messages on behalf of a client website), we share necessary information with that client to deliver the service. The client's use of your information is governed by the client's privacy policy.
  • Service Infrastructure: ProcessPal LLC hosts and operates our services and necessarily has operational access to information to provide the services. We may use trusted service providers (e.g., SMS gateway providers, hosting providers) that are contractually bound to use information only to provide services to us and not for their own purposes. We do not grant access to vendors for analytics, ads, or marketing.
  • Legal/Safety Exceptions (minimal): We may disclose information if required to comply with applicable law, a valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or our services.

Data Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary to provide our services, fulfill the purposes above, and meet minimal legal, security, and audit requirements. For SMS/authentication services, we typically retain phone numbers and related transactional data only as long as needed to deliver messages and support the service. Upon account closure or your deletion request, we will delete or anonymize associated information within a reasonable period, subject to any legal holds.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring for abuse. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to prevent, detect, and respond to incidents.

You can request to access, correct, export, or delete your information. Contact us using the details below. We will respond as required by applicable law.
