Privacy Policy for ProcessPal & CampChat NYC

Websites/Applications: process-pal.com (“ProcessPal App”) and CampChat NYC (“CampChat App”) (collectively, the “Apps”)
Controller/Operator/Host: ProcessPal LLC (“ProcessPal,” “we,” “us,” or “our”)

Summary (the short version)

• We only collect and store information to operate the Apps.
• We never sell your information.
• We do not share your information with any third parties except BetaNYC (beta.nyc) as described below.
• ProcessPal LLC operates and hosts the Apps. Outside of our operational access, the only organization that receives App information is BetaNYC, and solely for their own purposes.
• Minimal, necessary exceptions apply for security and legal compliance (e.g., to comply with a valid legal request).

Scope

This Privacy Policy applies to your use of the ProcessPal App at process-pal.com and the CampChat App (together, the “Apps”), any related services, and any information we process in connection with the Apps.

Information We Collect

We collect only what we need to run the Apps and support your account:

1. Account Information: name, email, organization, authentication identifiers.
2. App Content & Submissions: data, files, messages, or records you input or generate in the Apps.
3. Operational/Technical Data: device/browser data, IP address, and basic logs strictly for security, reliability, debugging, and performance.

We do not collect advertising identifiers and do not use third-party ad trackers.

How We Use Information

We use information only to:

• provide, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Apps,
• secure the Apps and prevent abuse,
• communicate about service notices, updates, and support.

We do not use your information for unrelated purposes such as advertising, data brokerage, or profiling outside the Apps’ functionality.

Sharing and Disclosure

• No Sales, No Ads: We do not and will not sell user information. We do not share it with advertisers, data brokers, or social networks.
• Single Recipient: Outside of ProcessPal’s operational access, the only organization we share App information with is BetaNYC (beta.nyc), and only so BetaNYC can use it for their own purposes.
• BetaNYC Use: Any sharing with BetaNYC occurs under terms that limit use to BetaNYC’s own purposes and prohibit onward sale.
• Service Infrastructure: ProcessPal LLC hosts and operates the Apps and necessarily has operational access to information to provide the services. We do not grant access to other vendors for analytics, ads, or marketing.
• Legal/Safety Exceptions (minimal): We may disclose information if required to comply with applicable law, a valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of users, the public, or the Apps.

Data Retention

We retain information only as long as necessary to operate the Apps, fulfill the purposes above, and meet minimal legal, security, and audit requirements. Upon account closure or your deletion request, we will delete or anonymize associated information within a reasonable period, subject to any legal holds.

Security

We use industry-standard safeguards to protect information, including encryption in transit, access controls, and monitoring for abuse. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to prevent, detect, and respond to incidents.

Your Choices & Rights

You can request to access, correct, export, or delete your information. Contact us using the details below. We will respond as required by applicable law.

Children’s Privacy

The Apps are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect information from children under that age.

International Use

If you access the Apps from outside the United States, you understand your information may be processed in the United States where the Apps are hosted and operated by ProcessPal LLC.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes, we will update the “Effective date” and, when appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use of the Apps after changes means you accept the updated policy.
